Referrals and Rebates

Anyone can book an appointment or assessment with Growing Minds Speech Pathology. You do not need a referral.

Referals and rebates

You may wish to ask your GP about referring your child under a Chronic Disease Management (CDM) plan. If deemed eligible by your GP, your child may be able to access Medicare rebates for up to 5 therapy sessions. The rebate for each session is currently $53.80.

You and your GP can find out more about this on my resource page.

COVID-19 Update:

During COVID-19, children eligible for a CDM referral will be bulk billed for services under new, temporary Medicare item numbers created for Telehealth sessions.  There will be no out of pocket expenses for these 5 sessions.  These sessions are 30 minutes long.

If you have private health insurance you may be eligible for rebates, check with your provider for more information.

NDIS

Growing Minds can support National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) clients who are 'plan managed' or 'self managed.'
